Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working in TV and film is well known for movies such as Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her showbiz career early. She was a lead actress in TV dramas as young as 16 years old. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. The film won an Oscar and won critical and commercial popularity. The Reader is another Oscar nominated movie featuring this actress. Alexandra is known for her participation in a variety of noteworthy projects both domestically as well as internationally.
