Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December 1991. He is the son of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. The father of Manny James is Nigerian as is his mother, who is caucasian American. His father is Nigerian, and his mother caucasian American. He graduated from Sanderson High School in 2010 and then attended Wake Forest University, where the Bachelor's Degree was awarded to him in Economics in the year 2015. James became famous when his appearance on The Bachelorette as a reality television star. In 2020 he got selected to play the role of bachelor in season 25 becoming one of the very initial African American male lead which later premiered in 2021. James was a perfect fit for the role as He is attractive, well-rounded and tall and has a sense of humorous. Rachael Krukconnell was James's love interest towards the end of season. He teamed up with the well-known dancer Arnold for the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold were ranked 12th.
