Aisling Bea

Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian that has been in the business for a long time. She was born in Kildare, Ireland on the 16th of March 1984. She's appeared on QI with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984), better known as Aisling Bea is an Irish actress writer and comedian. After playing bits in several Irish and British TV shows from 2009, Bea started her stand-up comic in the year 2011. In 2012, she began to regularly appear on sketch and sitcoms. Following her award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011, she was a frequent guest on a variety of panel show where she is becoming a mainstay. She was captain of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team between 2016 and 2017 and is regularly a contestant on the spinoff show, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was the daughter of Brian as well as Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister who is named Sinead. In 2012, she was the second female to be awarded the So You think You're Funny award. Bea's surname is in honour of her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh was born on April 16, 1984, in Kildare Town, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian took his life at age three. He was a horse vet. Bea wasn't told the specifics of his passing before she reached the age of 13. As a way to honor the man she loved, Bea adopted the stage-name Bea and in 2017 published an article on suicides in her family for The Guardian. Bea and her sister Sinead was raised by Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) an ex-jockey and teacher at a secondary-school. Their parents were both obsessed with racing and horses. Bea started out her career as a tour-guide at the Irish National Stud. However Bea realized at an early age that the race industry wasn't the right fit for her.
